Mmmm, just tried my first attempt at Gra-Pow Pork, and it was great! I had to make some substitutions, I didn’t have any Thai chili peppers or Thai basil, so I used Serrano peppers, and regular basil.

Ingredients
- Garlic (minced)
- Thai Chili Pepper (chopped)
- Pork (1 lbs, ground)
- Soy Sauce (1 tbs)
- Fish Sauce (1-2 tbs)
- Sugar (2 tsp)
- Onion (1/2, cut into strips)
- Bell Pepper (1, orange/red, cut into strips)
- Shallot (1, sliced)
- Basil (hand full of leaves)
- Chili Fish Sauce (see below)
Chili Fish Sauce
Combine the following in a jar or bowl, and let sit:
- Thai chili peppers (1-2, chopped)
- Shallot (1, chopped)
- Garlic (1-3 cloves, chopped)
- Fish Sauce (2 tbs)
- Lime (1/4th, juice)
Directions
- Heat up a wok.
- Throw in the (vegetable oil), and heat it up.
- Throw in the (garlic) and (chilies), cook till fragrant, garlic starts to brown.
- Throw in (ground pork), cook until no more pink, boil off water.
- Combine (Fish Sauce), (Soy Sauce), (Sugar), then toss in.
- Stir/Fold.
- Throw in (onion) and (bell pepper).
- Stir/Fold.
- Take off Heat.
- Throw in (basil).
- Fold everything together.
- Serve over rice.
- Serve Chili Fish Sauce to taste.
- (optional) Fry up an egg with soft yolk in oil, and put over an individual serving.
